Loan Elimination to Save WLA Land The Wile Lake Association is a non-profit organization, created by the Highland Lake Association, which is a for-profit organization, responsible for maintaining the 404 acres of conservation/recreational land that abuts the west side of Highland Lake. This land is a beautiful parcel of non-buildable conservational land that can be used for walking/hiking, hunting, ATV/dirt bike riding, snowmobile riding, berry picking, and more. The WLA continues each year, expanding trails, building bridges, enlarging parking areas, etc.    The Associations have an outstanding NOTE of approximately $150,000.00 ($110.000 principal and approximately $40,000 of interest). To date, $69,500 has been paid.  The longer it takes to pay this off, the higher it grows due to high interest rates.  This note, as it stands, is about 46% paid. We as a community need to come together and Pay Off This Note! Our Goal is to pay off the outstanding amount by 2026, eliminating any more interest from accruing on the note.  We have come up with a few ideas on how to successfully eliminate this loan debt and keep our land open as a mixed-use recreational tract: DONATION OPTIONS: 1)    If 100 property owners or anyone interested made a $1,000 donation, our goal will be reached.  2)   The WLA has the basic “Adopt A Trail Program”. This program is set up in two ways: there is “The Family Adopt a Trail Sign” which is a $100.00 Annual Donation, or “The Business Adopt a Trail Sign” which is a $250.00 Annual Donation. These signs would have your Family or Business names on them and be placed on a trail.  New Options This Year 3)   The WLA has created a flat $500.00 donation for a 6 year “Family Adopt a Trail Sign” or $1,000.00 for a 12 year “Family Adopt a Trail Sign”.  Business Adopt a Trail Special 4)   The WLA has also created a flat $1,000.00 donation for a 6 year “Business Adopt a Trail Sign” or $2,000.00 for a 12 year “Business Adopt a Trail Sign”, which is a twenty percent discount. 5)   As Always – any donation in any amount, is not only helpful but appreciated  All Donations that exceed this Loan Elimination amount will be placed into an account towards taxes, upkeep, and future expansion of the property.   We ask that you, PLEASE make your donations payable to the WLA with the comment on your check as follows:  Donation: “Land Debt Elimination” As Always: ALL WLA donations are TAX DEDUCTABLE

Donations can be ear marked for specific projects by request.Donations to the WLA can be made through check to the WLA treasurer. Capability to provide online donations coming soon.
